Don’t Read This: Shop Online Today Instead!
Black Friday, the ceremonial kick-off to the holiday shopping season, is already history. Today, now that we’re back at work, it’s “Cyber Monday,” and instead of reading this, you really should be shopping online!
That’s of course if you believe in the Cyber Monday myth (the term of which is really only a year old) , which is purported to be one of the biggest online shopping days of the year, even though statistics and surveys suggest that the busier times actually fall between Dec. 5 – 12 (when free shipping ends).
Even if Cyber Monday is over-hyped, many retailers are pushing this as the “must-shop” event. There’s even a special Web site dedicated to showing you the best deals today.
My advice? Get your real work done, and then, if you slept in last Friday instead of fighting mall crowds, get ready to do some virtual shopping before the Cyber-deals expire.
