Growing Creativity In Your Organization

Back in January, we started a new initiative at Sundog to actively look for and appreciate creativity. We gather for a voluntary meeting called “Monday Funday.” Every Monday after work, our employees share ideas and examples of things they consider creative and interesting. We look at everything from advertising trends and statistics, innovative campaigns, coding advances, web applications, print ads, video games and much more. Over the past several months, we’ve shared and discussed more than 100 creative ideas that have led to fresh approaches and tactics for our clients. And, it’s popular – bringing together both the marketing and technology sides of our company for some good, old-fashioned inspiration.
Sure, everyone is creative. But, just like any skill, to be great at it, takes work. It starts by simply looking for creativity and appreciating it when you see it. Because appreciation leads to inspiration, and that leads to the motivation to make it happen. And, once you’re motivated, there’s no stopping you.
