Marketing Predictions for 2011

Is your marketing budget set for 2011? Did your budget increase or decrease? What changes have you made to your media mix? The following are some of the predictions that are being made for 2011 and beyond.
• U.S. ad spending for 2011 is projected to increase 2.5% to $149 billion (GroupM via TVBizwire)
• Streaming video advertising is said to increase more than 60% next year and two of every five video ad dollars will come from local advertisers. (Borrell Associates)
• Mobile Marketing spend is set to increase 124% (Mobile Marketing Association)
• Borrell Associates anticipate total online ad growth of 14%
• Social network ad spending will exceed $2 billion in 2011 (BizReport)
• BIA/Kelsey forecasts spending on traditional media to decline from $115 billion in 2009 to $108.2 billion in 2014
