After watching a special on Steve Jobs last week on PBS, I sat on my iPad and felt inspired. Jobs was quoted, “Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact, and that is, everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you ... the minute that you understand that you can poke life ... that you can change it, you can mould it ... that’s maybe the most important thing.” The statement left me thinking —how can we have a positive influence on this world? What can we do to influence change? How can we have an impact with the people we interact with each day?
JetBlue committed the cardinal sin among airlines during this past weekend’s freak snowstorms—they kept people on a plane for hours. In 1991 they might not have even apologized. In 2001 they might have offered free tickets/perks to the inconvenienced passengers. In 2011, they followed the lead of several other companies by offering an apology on YouTube.

As one of the leading software platforms in the cloud, Salesforce is changing the way businesses interact by making things more effective and efficient through lead management, chatter and social enterprise. Salesforce will help redefine the future of business through its focus on social enterprise.
