Nielsen released its July 2011 smartphone data today, and the top stat making headlines is the smartphone penetration in the US. Currently, 40% of mobile users in the US own smart phones. Of them, Android accounts for 40%, Apple’s iOS accounts for 28%, and RIM (Blackberry) is hanging on with 19%.
August 26, 2011: Aatma Creates Stir With iPhone 5 Concept Video
San Francisco based design firm aatma created quite a stir this week when it released its concept video for what it would like to see in future generations of iPhones. Despite the fact that they clearly state in the video that it is a computer generated iPhone 5 concept (aka - not real!), the video has spread like virtual wildfire as people swallow it hook, line, and sinker. Sorry people, but it isn’t real. Here is the video in question:
