$3.5 Million for 30-seconds
Super Bowl XLVI takes place Sunday, February 5th in Indianapolis. Average cost of a 30-second spot in this year’s game is $3.5 million up from the $3 million charged by Fox for Super Bowl XLV. Since 2002, the cost of a 30-second spot in the Super Bowl has increased 57-percent.
Anheuser-Busch, will be one of the biggest advertisers for this year’s game with four-and-a-half minutes of ad time. Other long-time Super Bowl advertisers include PepsiCo, and Coca-Cola. Also returning are auto makers, M&Ms, Best Buy, CareerBuilder and GoDaddy.com. Making their first appearance will be Dannon yogurt.
According to Nielsen, Super Bowl XLV became the most-watched broadcast in TV history, with an average audience of 111 million viewers compared to 106.5 million viewers in 2010.
