Android Users Choose Apps Over Mobile Web 2 to 1
Nielsen Smartphone Analytics released new data today that revealed some interesting usage metrics about Android users.
The report showed that the average Android user spends nearly twice as much time using mobile apps than they do browsing the mobile web. The report also identified that the top 10 apps on the market were responsible for 43% of the total time spent on apps, and the top 50 accounted for 61%. With over 250,000 apps on the market, this means that 0.002% of the apps are pulling in the majority of the revenue.

We can take two key points away from this. 1) Apps are the preferred form of activity on an android phone, and 2) Conquering that market is extremely difficult. I am looking forward to what the data from iOS users will be. I suspect it will be much of the same.
