Big Bucks for Conan

According to a recent Ad Age article, TBS is securing $30,000 to $40,000 for 30-second spot in Conan O’Brien’s show, which begins November 8th. The network is reportedly paying him more than $10 million a year, in addition to giving him ownership of his new show. This is likely one reason TBS is seeking such high rates. The rates TBS is asking are equivalent to what broadcast receives for Leno and Letterman.
