Don’t Confuse the Consumer
Have you ever watched a television commercial and wondered what exactly it was about? You’re not alone. According to a recent Adweek Media/Harris Poll, three-quarters of Americans (75%) say they have found a commercial on TV confusing.
Age & Education
The poll looked at age and education levels to see who was more confused. The percentages of Americans who have ever found commercials confusing are virtually identical across all age brackets. The one significant difference related to age is that 29% of people 55 years or older say they often find the commercials on television confusing. Three-quarters of those who have an education level of high school or less (75%), those who have some college education (76%), and those who have a college degree or post graduate education (76%), say they have found some commercials on TV to be confusing.
