Hoot Hoot for HootSuite!

If Facebook was a country, it would be larger than the United States with over 400 million users and growing. Many active users on Facebook are also active on many other social networks today as we truly live in a social world. With social communities come social passwords, logins and time to manage each one. One message management tool that has reached the top of my list and stands out above the rest is HootSuite.

HootSuite is a message management tool that has become popular not only for individual users but also for companies to manage their multiple accounts. Now, you are probably thinking, “Not another login and password to remember!” But with the use of HootSuite and making one more login, you could even forget the rest – if you really wanted to.

The majority of free social management tools allow you to filter messages and view them in one source. HootSuite has the ability to not only bring incoming information in from the networks but also distribute messages, schedule messages and track outgoing messages. Another feature that many businesses utilize is the Team Collaboration feature which allows the administrator of the account allows access to others with a simple email address. This works well if you have multiple moderators needing access for one account or many accounts with different moderators.

Scheduling messages, posts, and tweets is another feature that can be helpful when you want to announce something at a specific date and time but know you won’t be able to make it to a computer or cell phone. Or you might be on vacation for a week but want to keep posting regularly while you’re out of the office.  The other benefit from using a message management tool is the ability to track messages. Tracking your links can be helpful when determining the tone of your messages and which specific headlines draw in the most clicks.
