NFL Teams Turning to iPad for Film Study

America’s favorite sport has met America’s favorite tablet.  NFL teams have been turning more and more to the iPad to make it easy for their players to study film,  The Buffalo Bills are the latest team to enter the mix.

Bills Wide receiver David Nelson spoke about the iPads on Thursday, the same day that the NFL kicked off its season in Green Bay.

“We’re just trying it out right now.  Not everyone has an iPad and we’re still trying to work out the kinks, but it’s just something we can do when we’re at home. When we’re watching TV we can also have our iPad, when we go out to dinner we can pop it out real fast and watch a couple of minutes of film.”

This is a great business use of the iPad - taking advantage of the iPad’s video playback and portability. I would be interested in seeing how they distribute the video to the devices, as this is a pretty common obstacle when working with the tablets.
