Retirees Increasingly Surf Instead of Garden
A new study suggests that retirees are increasingly choosing the Web over more traditional pastimes and hobbies.
According to Reuters, the British study from AXA suggests that retirees average six hours per week online. Roughly 41% cited the Internet as a favorite pastime, slightly higher than gardening (39%), home improvements (39%), travel and walking (both 28%). Connecting with children and grandchildren are among the key activities.
Assuming this trend continues, sites like Cranky.com are well-positioned for future success.
