What will you watch this fall?

May is a time for season finales and learning what new shows are in store this fall. Last week was a busy one for the big networks as they introduced what changes are in store for the new season during their upfront presentations. On deck are a slough of new comedy and drama shows about police officers, lawyers, doctors, friends and couples.

NBC will introduce seven new shows for fall and thirteen new shows total for the 2010-2011 season. New shows include “The Event,” “ Chase,” “ Undercovers,” “ Law & Order Los Angeles,” “Outsourced,” “ Love Bites,” “School Pride”  and “Outlaw.”

FOX is ramping up with four new shows for fall and seven new shows overall for the 2010-2011 season.  First up is” Lonestar” which will air Mondays following “House” and is described as a modern-day “Dallas.” Tuesdays we’ll see two new half-hour comedies; “Running Wilde” and “Raising Hope.”  Friday brings a new cop-duo, ”The Good Guys.” For midseason, we’ll see, ” Bob’s Burgers,” “ Terra Nova,” “ Ride Along,” and “Mixed Signals.”

ABC will introduce seven new shows this fall and has announced three new series for midseason. First up on Tuesdays will be “No Ordinary Family,” a drama about a family of four that realize they have unusual abilities.  Also new to Tuesday night will be “Detroit 1-8-7,” “Better Together,” “The Whole Truth,” “My Generation,” “Secret Millionaire” and “Body Proof.” Midseason sitcoms include “Happy Endings” and “Mr. Sunshine” along with the drama “Off the Map.”

CBS has canceled seven shows, moved around several of its biggest hits and added five new shows include “The Defenders,” “$#*! My Dad Says (based off the twitter feed @shitmydadsays by Justin Halpern and starring William Shatner,” “Mike & Molly,” “Blue Blood” and a new version of “Hawaii Five-O.”

Virtually all of the new shows are scripted as opposed to reality television and while we saw some of our favorites come to an end this year; with 32 new shows on deck for the 2010-2011 season, I’m wondering what you’ll be watching this fall.
