In aYahoo News story, it was reported that Google’s third quarter revenues soared to almost $1.6 billion, nearly doubling last year’s third quarter performance. Even more telling was that its third quarter net income of $381 million increased six-fold over last year’s third quarter figures. The report attributes the stellar financial performance to the growth of online advertising and Google’s increasing product diversity.
Another story today from ClickZ, predicts online holiday shopping will increase 25 percent over last year. According to the study commissioned by MyPoints.com, shoppers will do a total of 54 percent of their shopping online this holiday season. That is one way to beat the crowds. The five biggest categories for online gifts include:
