Sundog Raises More Than $23,000 for United Way

Fargo, ND – Sundog Interactive, Inc. raised $23,397.49 for its 2017 United Way campaign.

Sundog team members took part in a month-long campaign to raise funds for the United Way of Cass-Clay. The campaign kicked off with impact speakers Tom Hill and Cody Schuler, sharing their work with homelessness to help team members recognize the impact they have within the Fargo-Moorhead community.

The company’s fundraising events included a soup cook-off, taco-in-a-bag bar and breakfast cart. The first Sundog Block Party, which was open to the entire community, alone raised $8,769.91.

Held on September 14, the lunch event featured grilled burgers and brats from Shotgun Sally’s, along with raffles for five different prize packages valued around $1,000 each. Winners of the raffle packages included:

Package 3: Date Night - Jan Sanders

“Our first annual Block Party was a crucial part of our overall campaign success this year,” said Matthew McGarry, one of Sundog’s United Way campaign committee members. “We were humbled by the generosity of our neighbors and area businesses. The success of this event would not have been possible without their support. We’re going bigger next year, and we can’t wait to see everyone there.”

Breaking new records with this year’s campaign, Sundog had a 99% response rate with its team members and exceeded its goal by almost 17%, increasing the company’s donation to United Way by over $5,000 or almost 28% compared to last year.

Sundog won the 2015 United Way Outstanding Employee Engagement Award for last year’s campaign, which raised $18,324.58 with a 93% participation rate, previously the company’s best to date.
