Sundog Receives United Way Community Engagement Award

March 3, 2017

Fargo, ND - Sundog Inc. won the “2016 Community Engagement Award” from the United Way of Cass-Clay’s ‘Live United’ Awards.

United Way of Cass-Clay’s mission is to help local individuals and families, while addressing needs in the community. In February, the 2016 ‘Live United’ Awards ceremony took place at the Hilton Garden Inn, where a crowd of over 400 celebrated the individuals and businesses who make Fargo-Moorhead a better place.

Sundog won the “2016 Community Engagement Award” for their Block Party in September. The event, held in Rabanus Park, included a variety of raffle prizes, as well as a hamburger bar, with all proceeds benefitting United Way.

“By hosting a Block Party, we hoped to share our fun and giving culture with the rest of the community,” said Employee Campaign Coordinator, Dani Krolak. “This is a prime example of how working together with other area businesses allows us to accomplish so much more than we could on our own.”

Overall, Sundog raised more than $23,000 for United Way this year with almost $9,000 coming from their Block Party.

The United Way of Cass-Clay exceeded their campaign goal of $5.7 million, which they credit to a large variety of community events throughout the year, like the Sundog Block Party.
